These healthy, Yogurt Covered Strawberry Hearts are the perfect treat for Valentine’s Day! Plus, there’s no baking or melting involved.
1poundstrawberries,washed and thoroughly dried
1 - 5.3ozcontainer greek yogurt of your choice(plain, vanilla, or any flavor you like)
1/4cuptoppings of your choice(mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, chopped nuts or seeds, sprinkles, chia seeds, ground flax seed, etc.)
To create strawberry heart shapes, cut a V-shaped notch on top of the strawberry and remove the stem.
Insert a fork into the top of the strawberry and dip half way into greek yogurt of choice and spin to fully coat strawberry. (Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping for best results).
Roll in toppings of choice by gently dipping strawberries into toppings or sprinkling over top. Place on a plate lined with parchment paper or wax paper.
Freeze for 1 hour to let yogurt set and then serve. Store any leftovers in the freezer for up to 1 month and pop them out as desired.*
*You’ll want to let strawberries sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to soften before eating. You could also microwave for 20 seconds.
