Why you’ll love it

If you’re a lifelong peanut butter and jelly fan like me, this Ninja Creami creation is going to become your new favorite. Here’s why:

  • Nostalgic flavor with a twist – It tastes like a childhood PB&J but in a frosty, creamy pint!
  • Protein boost – Thanks to milk, yogurt (or protein powder), and peanuts, you’ll get a satisfying dose of protein with every bite.
  • Ultra creamy texture – Using the Ninja Creami and a splash of milk during the re-spin step makes it incredibly smooth.
  • Customizable – You get to choose the milk, peanut butter, and mix-ins, so you can tailor it for your preferences or dietary needs.

Is it healthy?

Definitely—and it’s fun to eat too! This peanut butter and jelly Ninja Creami protein ice cream swaps the usual heavy cream and sugar for high-protein, nourishing ingredients like Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and fruit. Incorporating protein into snacks and desserts can support satiety and muscle recovery. Plus, strawberries bring antioxidants and vitamin C, adding a nutritional boost.

 What ingredients do you need?

Here’s everything you’ll need to make this PB&J dream pint:

  • 1 cup milk of your choice – Dairy, almond, oat, or even a vanilla protein shake for a boost. I often like to use Meadow Gold Whole Milk for this pint!
  • ¼ cup vanilla Greek yogurt or 1 scoop vanilla protein powder – Adds extra creaminess and protein.
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter – Use classic PB, or swap for powdered peanut butter if you want a lighter option.
  • ½ cup diced strawberries – Fresh or frozen both work great!
  • 2 teaspoons jam – Brings that sweet fruity flavor.
  • Optional: 2 teaspoons vanilla pudding mix – For extra flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract – Deepens the vanilla flavor.
  • Pinch of salt – Just a touch to enhance all the flavors.

Mix-ins (added after the first spin):

  • 1 tablespoon milk – Same milk used in the base recipe.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts – For crunch!
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam – More jelly goodness swirled throughout.
  • 1 tablespoon crushed graham crackers – Brings the sandwich-feel.

How do you make peanut butter & jelly Ninja Creami protein ice cream?

Follow these simple steps for the ultimate creamy treat:

Blend the base

Add the milk, yogurt or protein powder, peanut butter, strawberries, jam, vanilla pudding mix (if using), vanilla extract, and salt to a blender. Blend until smooth.

Shortcut: You can also just mix everything directly in your Ninja Creami pint with a fork or milk frother.

Ingredients in pint before blending

Freeze overnight

Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint. Freeze on a level surface for at least 24 hours until solid.

First spin

After 24 hours, remove the pint from the freezer and spin it using the “Lite Ice Cream” setting. The texture might look crumbly or airy—totally normal!

Add mix-ins and re-spin

Scrape around the sides of the pint and create a small hole in the center reaching the bottom. Add 1 tablespoon milk, chopped peanuts, strawberry jam, and crushed graham crackers.

Spin again using the “Mix-In” setting until fully combined and super creamy.

Serve and enjoy

Enjoy immediately for the best creamy texture! If you have extras, flatten the surface before refreezing to keep the texture smooth. You can also re-spin leftovers after thawing slightly at room temperature.

Recipe tips and tricks

  • Serving tips: Serve in a bowl or a cone and top with extra chopped peanuts, a swirl of strawberry jam, or even a drizzle of peanut butter for a next-level PB&J experience.
  • Troubleshooting: If it’s still crumbly after re-spinning, add another splash of milk (about 1 tablespoon) and re-spin again—or let it sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes to soften up.
  • Scaling: Double or triple the base and freeze in multiple pints so you’ve always got a homemade, protein-packed dessert ready whenever a craving hits!

Customize it your way

Like all of our recipes, you can make this PB&J pint your own!

  • Milk options: Whole milk for richness, almond milk for a dairy-free choice, or a protein shake for extra protein boost.
  • Peanut butter options: Natural peanut butter, powdered peanut butter, or even almond butter for a twist.
  • Mix-ins: Swap peanuts for cashews, try different jams (like raspberry or blackberry), or add mini chocolate chips for a “PB&J meets PB cup” vibe.

Can you make it ahead of time?

Yes! You can prep the base days (or even weeks) in advance. Freeze it, then spin when you’re ready to enjoy.

How do you store leftovers?

Smooth out the surface with a spoon and pop the pint back in the freezer. Let it thaw for 20–25 minutes before re-spinning or scoop it straight out after a quick 10-second microwave zap.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of your choice, (dairy milk, vanilla protein shake, almond milk, oat milk, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup vanilla greek yogurt or 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter, (or peanut butter powder for a lighter option)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, diced
  • 2 teaspoons jam
  • Optional: 2 teaspoons vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt

Up to 1/4 Cup Mix-Ins of Your Choice (Added After First Spin):

  • 1 tablespoon milk, (same as used in base recipe, required for creaminess!)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam
  • 1 tablespoon crushed graham crackers, (1 square)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients except mix-ins into a blender and blend until smooth. Then, pour into your Ninja Creami Pint. Alternatively, you can just mix them directly in the Ninja Creami pint using a fork or milk frother.
  • Place the Creami pint in the freezer on a level surface and freeze for at least 24 hours until fully solid.
  • After 24 hours, remove from the freezer and process using the “Lite Ice Cream” setting. This will take about 2-3 minutes. After this spin, the texture will most likely look crumbly and airy, similar to snow. This is normal!
  • Use a spoon or knife to carefully scrape around the sides of the pint. Then, create a small hole in the center reaching the bottom and add mix-ins and 1 tablespoon of the same liquid used in the base recipe.
  • Re-spin using the “Mix-In” setting to fully blend the mix-ins and achieve a smooth, creamy texture.
  • Enjoy immediately or, if you end up with extras, store in the freezer for later. For the best storage results, use a spoon to press the ice cream into a flat, even surface before refreezing.

Notes

Toppings Note: Feel free to add more toppings on top such as more chopped peanuts, a drizzle of peanut butter, or even some freeze dried strawberries!
Milk Note: I often love using Meadow Gold dairy milk to make my Ninja Creami pints!
Leftovers Note: If you have leftovers, store them in the freezer and you can re-spin up to 3 times after refreezing. However, I personally prefer just letting the Ninja Creami pint sit out at room temperature for 20-25 minutes, instead of re-spinning. If you’re feeling impatient, you can also microwave the pint for 10-15 seconds for a quick thaw!
